Get To Know Me meme: [1/5] Favorite movies: Dead Poets Society (1989)
We don’t read and write poetry because it’s cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, “O me! O life!… of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless… of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?” Answer. That you are here - that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. That the powerful play *goes on* and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?
for me, acting is more about self-exploration. I’ve learned a lot about myself in order to learn about the craft. I’ve always been very big on self-exploration & answering my own questions.
"Embrace your differences and the qualities about you that you think are weird. Eventually, they’re going to be the only things separating you from everyone else." -Sebastian Stan
Wouldn’t it be terrible to be on your deathbed and suddenly think, ‘God, why didn’t I do that? Was it because I was worried about failing? Or what someone else might think of me?’
"The fans that I really like are the ones that are really respectful. I don’t want to be intimidated, I like to talk to people and people to talk to me, I don’t want to lose the opportunity to actually talk to people. When people get hysterical, there’s no room for interaction. I’m really grateful for my fans, they’re sensible and a little bit cheeky, they take the piss out of me!" (x)

I was, uh, I… I drifted.
Galaxy Quest (1999)
I had originally not wanted to see Galaxy Quest because I heard that it was making fun of Star Trek. Then Jonathan Frakes rang me up and said ‘You must not miss this movie! See it on a Saturday night in a full theater.’ And I did, and of course I found it was brilliant. Brilliant. No one laughed louder or longer in the cinema than I did. - Patrick Stewart
”I often do a lot of research. I didn’t know I was doing a Q & A screening until I read it on one of the [fan] websites and they were booking tickets. I was like, ‘Oh, that’ll be nice. I better brush my hair then’. No, they’re great. They’re really supportive. I try to look after them.”

he’s so lovely!
if he did his research properly, he’d know that we don’t mind messy hair. At all.
Heath’s the best actor I’ve ever worked with. Coming off The Brothers Grimm, which wasn’t particularly well-received, I remember telling people about him. ‘Heath Ledger, you mean the guy from A Knight’s Tale?’ they would say. I’d tell them, ‘No, you wait!’ And then he did Brokeback Mountain and The Dark Knight. People just got a glimpse of what he was going to do. He was so full of life. I don’t think I’ll ever get over that, nor will anybody who knew him. He was a miracle of a man.
"Well, when I was nine years old, Star Trek came on, I looked at it and I went screaming through the house, 'Come here, mum, everybody, come quick, come quick, there's a black lady on television and she ain't no maid!' I knew right then and there I could be anything I wanted to be.”
